Institute Mihailo Pupin
Institute Mihailo Pupin is the leading Serbian R&D institution in the field of Information & Communication Techologies.

Automation & Control Systems Ltd
The Automation & Control Systems Ltd is the core division of the Institute Mihailo Pupin, and the owner of the VIEW4 application.

References
The long list of the Institute's references and customers is the best proof of its high professional and techological achievments.

ATLAS Systems
The other related IMP project: ATLAS Systems (ATLAS-MAX & pikoATLAS) provides the underlying RTU and PLC infrastructure needed for VIEW4 control implementation

VIEW4 Tools

VIEW4 Tools refer to the wide range of different support programs instrumental in the VIEW4 configuration, preparation and operational implementation.

  • Application Configuration Utilities
There are several application configuration utilities ACUs, which provide efficient user-friendly tools to set needed application parameters.  An example is the VIEW4 ICCP ACU - its mission is to set complex SCADA to SCADA communications.  It is achieved through the tuning of existing parameters in data exchange: filtering, multiple links handling, data selection, conditional data transfer, etc.

  • Database Editors
DB editors are powerful tools to handle data tables, as well as individual data entries within the tables.  Essentially, DB editors are a kind of user-friendly, graphically enhanced “spreadsheet editors” adapted to the specific database structures.  The access to the database is provided through the corresponding ODBC drivers.  VIEW4 offers an enhanced version of the rdbEdit editor for this purpose.
  • Data Presentation Editors
The specialized DP editors support full vector graphics presentations and connections with the SCADA databases.  VIEW4 offers two enhanced DP editors:
    - Tkedit – to handle source data in creating and modifying graphics (images, graphical backgrounds, maps, graphical details, etc).
    - Ged – to handle dynamic data presentations of acquired process data.

  • Report Form Editor
Form Editors are used for easy creation of arbitrary report forms, with an automatic update of related static data from the Source Database.  All created form elements (the form skeleton) are saved for the future use.  An illustrative example of such data forms is the Form for the Mean Value Report, which is almost standard nowadays.  For that purpose, VIEW4 offers the enhanced form editor named Genizv.
  • Control Sequence Editors
A set of controls that are executed sequentially is known as a “control sequence”.  Each subsequent control action in the sequence is delayed and dependent on the status of the previous one.  The algorithm and timing of the control sequence execution is described by the corresponding “control sequence recipe”.  The VIEW4 control sequence editor named EdGkom enables:
    - Creation and modification of control sequence recipes
    - Execution time specification
    - Setting of all control parameters
    - On-line monitoring

  • Task Managers
Task Managers present powerful maintenance tools for online management of the running tasks.  They display the actual status of the runtime environment at any point in time.  They also support individual task management, including the task terminations.  Task Managers are especially useful and instrumental in tracing eventual problems, or measuring system performances.  The VIEW4 Task Manager is customized for VIEW4 apllications and relays on the underlying Linux system CLI environment.
